That’s it

My pumpkin vines have been merrily growing and spreading all summer. There was a setback in August with the high temperatures, but the vines persisted and continued to send out new trailers, but there has been no other production. No pumpkins. I get the start of a pumpkin, then it goes away.

I don’t think the patch gets enough sunlight for pumpkins. My basil is happy, there, though.

Bye bye path

I haven’t been redirecting the pumpkin vines away from my path because it has been too hot outside. Now they have engulfed it.

I have yet to see a pumpkin produced from the vines. Maybe they’ll find enough sunlight on their journey.

Pumpkin vines

Well, the pumpkin seeds I planted have taken over, and I like it.

I have not seen any signs of set fruit, but it is hard to see much past those massive wonderful leaves.

I think this is a happy area for pumpkins.
