Be different

I was recently at a very showy popular center for entertainment with highly tended grounds and a definite color scheme. It made my heart happy to see this rogue pink flower amongst the sea of white. If we were all the same, it would be a dull world indeed.

Couldn’t resist

I took the kids to the zoo, and my eldest’s favorite place is the herpetarium. Saw this adorable little golden frog, who kept opening and closing his mouth, so I had to take his picture and digitally give him the proper environment.

Quick and dirty using an app on my phone (Sketchbook). Does this count as a meme? Or derivative artwork? (I wouldn’t class it as artwork, but it does make me laugh!)

Find Your Balance

Looking up into the trees is one of my favorite things. Balance is important not only physically, but mentally, socially and personally as well. It seemed appropriate to combine the words with my photo. I put this one together in Adobe Illustrator so I could put the word on a path (I like words on a path better than warping text, for most applications.)

Squee! Kestrel!

The American Kestrel is the smallest member of the falcon family, and the most adorable tiny killing machine. On a recent walk, I spotted this one flying up to the top of the light post with a prize. Luckily I had my good camera with me (because two days prior I didn’t, and saw the older buck. Sigh.)

And since he was glaring at me, it seemed appropriate to make him into a meme. It is a stretch, I know, but I couldn’t come up with a decent pun using “Kestrel”.

Don’t mess with me, unless you need a little falcon up.
