Second Anniversary!

It is my second year anniversary on writing this blog! Hurray! I probably should have called it “Of Critters and Craft”, but the chickens are still clucking away, so we’re OK.

Happy Anniversary written in cotton yarn

Since the traditional second anniversary is celebrated with cotton, I grabbed some cotton yarn from my stash to form my banner. I used a small bowl of water to wet the yarn, then wrung it out, which made it easier to form the words (especially the pinched parts).

I’m still enjoying blogging, and hope my readers get some chuckles and maybe even some inspiration to do their own handcrafts. Here is to another year!

Um, you need to update your algorithm

My photo app very “helpfully” provided a look back on my food pictures. Except only one of those pictures is of something edible. I guess crafting messes with their algorithm. I never have been typical.

These are not tasty bites, as the title implies (except the fish my eldest caught, that was good). They are: polished rocks, barnacles, seed beads, glass clay beads, hand crafted aquarium decor, glass clay buttons, the back of glass clay buttons, and a celery bunch that we used as a stamp.

Black and white study

White snow on black dogs, or should that be black dogs in the white snow?

We had snow! Proper drifting flakes and accumulation! Snowball fights, catching snowflakes on tongues, and tiny snowmen. I was surprised how much the dogs liked it. They rip teared around the yard, tried to eat snowballs, and wrestled in the snow. A good time for all, and no icy roads. Bliss.
