Happy Mother’s Day

I may be a bit obsessed with spinning. My husband sent me an amazing sky picture, and my first thought is that it looked like fiber ready to spin!

Then I found an forest tent caterpillar on my planter (yes, it is a tire), and it looks like it has sheep marching down its back!

Perhaps I should go have a lay down, but first I’ll spin a bit.
It is my second year anniversary on writing this blog! Hurray! I probably should have called it “Of Critters and Craft”, but the chickens are still clucking away, so we’re OK.

Since the traditional second anniversary is celebrated with cotton, I grabbed some cotton yarn from my stash to form my banner. I used a small bowl of water to wet the yarn, then wrung it out, which made it easier to form the words (especially the pinched parts).
I’m still enjoying blogging, and hope my readers get some chuckles and maybe even some inspiration to do their own handcrafts. Here is to another year!
My photo app very “helpfully” provided a look back on my food pictures. Except only one of those pictures is of something edible. I guess crafting messes with their algorithm. I never have been typical.

We had snow! Proper drifting flakes and accumulation! Snowball fights, catching snowflakes on tongues, and tiny snowmen. I was surprised how much the dogs liked it. They rip teared around the yard, tried to eat snowballs, and wrestled in the snow. A good time for all, and no icy roads. Bliss.
