Lock and key

Not people proof, but I hope the locks are complicated enough to thwart the raccoons.

Simple heart lock

I have one lock on the entry to the runs and another on the back door. I had these locks in my stash. I thought they would be smaller when I ordered them, but alas, they were not. They are better fitted for this application, and by attaching the chain I don’t have to search for the key.

Plan Your Attack

Our adopted outside cat is very good at getting up and down trees. Usually she zooms up the smaller post oaks to show off, but the one in this picture is the largest on the property. She looks so little and high up, yet fierce and focused.

I played with gradients and masks in Photoshop to make the lettering for this meme. I also managed to squeeze some time in during spring break to participate in one of Adobe’s Daily Challenges. If you are interested in the output, it is here.

Find Your Balance

Looking up into the trees is one of my favorite things. Balance is important not only physically, but mentally, socially and personally as well. It seemed appropriate to combine the words with my photo. I put this one together in Adobe Illustrator so I could put the word on a path (I like words on a path better than warping text, for most applications.)
