Yup. I’m running a cat tavern. I set up the trail cam to monitor who was visiting the heated water bowl. The answer is cats from neighbors on both sides of our house.

Oh that bold fluffy calico. She is on my “need to be fixed” list.

Our house has a two story high living room, with a railing across the side of the hall way upstairs. Sophie likes to look down and check on the progress of her din-dins. She has also, on occasion, knocked her toys through the balusters onto the laps below.
Today I present to you a long haired flame-point cat rolling in the fall leaves. You’re welcome.

He was rolling about to get his scratches and brushes, which is ironic because every time he rolls he covers the freshly brushed part in leaf litter. Silly cat.

Oh for crying in the mud. I looked at the picture I took of Mr Tom (my neighbor’s cat) lounging on the table and realized I have a cat parlor. I put out a heated water bowl, but the cord was too short to reach the ground, so I put the bowl on a table. The winterized cat house that I made for Sophie wasn’t being used (she has moved into the house), so I put it behind the coop. (It still isn’t being used, I think because it only has one entrance.) There is a bowl for snacks even. Sheesh. I don’t leave food out, just water. Sophie does visit the area when she is outside, and other neighbor cats visit as well. Apparently I’m running a cat tavern. Hm.
Sophie the cat, who was once Sophie-the-exclusively-outside-cat before we moved in, is enjoying being a pampered inside cat.
